Portland International Airport (KPDX)

Portland is one of the biggest gateways to the Pacific Northwest. The history of Portland derives from the location in relation to the Columbia River. Spanning from Canada all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Portland relies on this river for much of its imports and exports. Portland Airport sits to the northeast of downtown, right next to the river. The airport offers many great views of arriving and departing airplanes. One can sit for hours watching them come and go, as I often do. The airport is welcomed by many, even being acclaimed as one of America's Favorite Airports. I can honestly say, it is one of mine!
